Manufacturing Process
The production of hot-dip galvanized steel pipe involves two primary approaches:
Pre-Galvanizing Method: Steel sheets are first passed through a molten zinc bath before being formed into pipes. The coated sheets are then cut to length and shaped into the final pipe configuration. This method ensures uniform zinc coverage on the flat surface prior to forming.
Post-Galvanizing Method: Fully formed steel pipes are immersed directly into a molten zinc bath. The zinc reacts with the steel surface to form a tightly bonded alloy layer, providing comprehensive protection on both exterior and interior surfaces.
